Job # One

Job # One consists entirely of Ford parts. All items are from automobiles that date from 1974 to 1978. They include Ford’s Mustang, F-150 Truck, and miscellaneous other parts. The Ford Motor Co. is celebrating over 100 years in the business of manufacturing automobiles. From the Model A to the Mustang GT, Ford continues to pioneer many new ideas for developing and producing new methods for industry, many of which have made all our lives easier.

Some of the parts displayed such as the Mustang grill, are reminders of years past, primarily the 60’s and 70’s when cars like the Mustang were the most popular in the country. The Mustang was originally introduced in 1964 and continues production today. Although styles have changed over the years, the Mustang continues to be popular for today’s generation of auto buffs. The model shown here no longer in production was first manufactured in 1974. It continues to be a “Part of History” and a contributing factor for today’s Mustang design crew.

This model, with its abstract design, is a tribute to all of the inventive spirit and labor that have evolved throughout the years within automotive industry. It is 7 feet high by 6 feet wide and displayed utilizing custom brass, and nickel plating. It expresses a rebirth from the old to the new. Weighing over 400 pounds the custom made brackets were designed to secure the fixture to the wall to enhance the neon lighting as a contemporary feature. Job # One also represents the talents of many Americans who continue to contribute their ingenuity, time, and energy creating new processes toward future challenges.

Please take the time to look over the parts that make up Job # One and to ponder the thousand of miles, revolutions, destinations, and stories that may have taken place by the owners of these vehicles. Their elements have been preserved (and saved from the Salvage Yard) as a true “Part of History” for your viewing and enjoyment.
